Smash and Go

A mobile-first editorial design for a blog dedicated to Buenos Aires' burger scene. Equal parts food guide, interactive map, recipe hub, and community platform — all wrapped in a bold, playful visual identity built around a blue checkered pattern, custom illustrated mascot ("Smasha"), and hand-drawn logo. The project went through three phases. TP1 covered research and competitive analysis of food blogs and editorial platforms. TP2 defined the wireframe system, component library, typography, and visual language. The final TP delivered full mockups for three key pages: the Home, the B-Ruta subhome, and a detailed article page — all mobile, with wireframe-to-mockup parity throughout. The Home is dense by design. It needed to surface six distinct content sections without feeling like a wall of text: "Reseñas Virales" (burger reviews categorized by Pioneros, Clásicos, Off-Road, Rock-It, and Iconos), "B-Ruta" (an interactive burger route through the city with a custom illustrated map), "Prepárala" (a recipe section with video and filtering by burger type), "Eventos" (a news and articles slider), "Beneficios del Día" (daily promo cards with discount percentages), and "B-URGAS" (trending posts from the community). Each section has its own visual treatment but stays cohesive through the checkered grid pattern and consistent blue-and-white palette. The B-Ruta subhome is probably the most interesting page. It features a weekly top 3, an interactive Buenos Aires map with route tracking, filtering by popularity, rating, neighborhood, burger type, and price, plus detailed stop reviews with ratings and a "heaviness" scale. The article detail page goes deep — full editorial layout with individual burger reviews, star ratings, an embedded 360° tour, comments section with user interactions, related articles, and location data.
